There’s just 10 days left to the Run Lytham 10k – and The Lytham St Annes Express and Vetplus have been announced as main sponsors of the race, a new part of the St George’s Day Festival raising funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.

All entrance fees and sponsorship money will be donated to the charity to support the long-term care of those who have served in the armed forces and sustained serious
injuries in conflicts around the world.

Col Philip Naylor OBE JP and regional director North West at The Soldier’s Charity said: “The St George’s Festival is a great community event and gives tremendous support to charity as a result. ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is extremely grateful to be beneficiaries of this support.“

David Haythornthwaite, St George’s Day festival founder, added: “We are so pleased to have two high-profile sponsors to raise the profile for an event that will bring the community together as well as visitors to our vibrant town.”

The race is expected to produce fast times for athletes thanks to a flat course, which also makes it ideal for runners of all abilities.

The race will start and finish at Lytham’s iconic windmill.
