THE demolition of the former St Annes Conservative Club has been given the go ahead.
Fylde Council has approved the planning application.
Supermarket chain Aldi will now build a new store on the site on Clifton Drive North and St George's Road.
Permission has also been given for the demolition of the adjoining St Anthony's House which is part of the site.
A new four-storey building on the redeveloped area will include the Aldi store, plus 34 apartments, a new Conservative Club and a basement car park.
