A KENNEL owner has taken customer service to a new level.
Peta Rain, of Afterglow Boarding Kennels, Peel, has come to the aid of a regular customer with dog troubles.
Taking four dogs to the Whitehill Road kennel for day care while at work, the female customer was almost pulled off her feet by her excitable canine quartet as they pelted through the grounds to their pen.
And although it was a standing joke and people often asked, "Who's taking who?" it was no laughing matter for the owner, who arrived at her St Annes workplace feeling dishevelled and stressed almost every day.
Now Mrs Rain has come up with a solution - she is building a special new enclosure, right next to the car park, especially for the family of crossbreed dogs.
"I felt sorry for the owner, a regular customer, because she was having to take the dogs from her car to their pen one by one - they are so strong," Mrs Rain explained. "Now, she will be able to just reverse right up to their enclosure, open the car door and let them run straight in."
The customer, who asked not to be named, was delighted.
"It was taking me about 20 minutes to drop off the dogs - now, I'll be able to do it in no time," she said.
"They start barking from the moment they recognise the lane on the way to Afterglow and by the time we get there, they're at fever pitch.
"This will make life much simpler and I'd like to thank Afterglow for their thoughtfulness."
