A STAR-STUDDED night will celebrate the launch of Fylde's Garden of Fame and the unveiling of comedy legend Les Dawson's statue this autumn.

The venue is Blackpool FC on Thursday, October 23, when the special guest will be Sir Tom Finney.

s's statue will be unveiled in the ornamental gardens next to St Annes Pier on October 24.
But the evening before, a celebrity-packed event will attract stars from the world of show business, sport and television - and promises to be a night to remember.
The first inductees into the Garden oF Fame will also be chosen.
The shortlist includes Bill Beaumont, George Formby, Tony Jaclkin, Al Read, Joe Longthorne, Stan Mortensen, Charlie Caroli and Brian London.
The funding for the statue has been generated by an independednt committee who wanted to see a tribute to Les in the town where he lived.
At the same time, plans for a Garden of Fame were also unveiled for people who had mande an impact on the area.
Coun Simon Renwick, cabinet member for culture and tourism, said: "It will draw people into the heart of St Annes and will boost the regenration of the whole area".
