Landslide 'yes' vote in parish poll

THE electorate has voted 'yes' in favour of keeping St Annes' swimming pool open.
A parish poll has taken place tonight (Thursday) in which the following question was asked:

"Do you demand Fylde Borough keep the St Anne's swimming pool open and operational"

Results of the parish poll were as follows –



Number of ballot papers issued - 3058 (14.1 per cent of eligible electorate)



Number of yes votes - 3040



Number of no votes - 15


Rejected ballot papers - 3

The Parish Poll was requested at the St Anne's on Sea parish meeting on 28 March 2008, and is on the question
