AN EARTHQUAKE has hit the Fylde Coast.
Residents in the borough have reported a strong shaking, lasting around 10 seconds just before 11.30am.

British Geological Survey bosses confirmed there had been a tremor which was believed to have registered 3.7 on the Richter scale.

The British Ecological Society said the epicentre of the earthquake was Ulverston, in Cumbria and the tremors spread across Lancashire.

On the Fylde Coast, residents from Knott End to St Annes were affected.

no way was there a "strong shaking" where I was , where was this area in st annes. a 3.6 in cumbria would be lucky to get this far south and if it did it wouldn't be strong shaking, think they heard the 2 giant tractors passing that i saw and heard around that time. Can someone come back with some evidence.
