THE public's views are being sought on plans for 1,150 eco friendly homes proposed for St Annes.
Kensington Developments announced, in the Express, plans for the scheme on land in its ownership at Queensway.
And the developer also revealed it will compete the St Annes to M55 link road if given the go-ahead for the housing initiative.
Fylde Coun Roger Small says the public's views are being sought on the development and associated community benefits proposed by Kensington should the plans get the green light.
These include:
The developer has offered to provide the £20m necessary to fund the completion of the link road, the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of Queensway and Kilnhouse Lane and the construction of the Queensway Link Road known as TR5, the Heyhouses Lane bypass.
Kensington has also agreed to provide, free of charge, the land required to build a new school and playing field, plus a £600,000 contribution to the Education Authority for the provision of secondary school places.
Public transport links between the site and the town centre and railway station for five years.
An 86-acre park with a landscaped, recreational trail and bridleway links into the site, providing improved access to the countryside.
259 new homes in the "affordable housing" category, provided at below market values to eligible local households who are unable to access housing through the open market.

Today's Vote

Do you think Fylde Council is wrong to disregard the poll which is in favour of saving St Annes baths?
Yes, they should listen to the electorate
No, because if they don't have enough money to run the pool, it is inevitable it has to shut
