A glorious sunset provided the perfect backdrop as the legendary DJ brought a taste of Ibiza to Lytham Green with a twist... the Heritage Orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley.

Singer Becky Hill warmed up the crowd on a beautiful Thursday evening on the second main arena night of the week-long festival.

It was then down to electronic duo Basement Jazz to get the crowd jumping - with hits like Don't Worry, Don't Panic, Do Your Thing, and Where's Your Head At? - before fans went wild as headline act Pete Tong launched into his thrilling set with Right Here, Right Now.

Hit after hit followed with Lola's Theme, Good Life and Gavalanize.

As the lasers and smoke filled the night sky, you could be forgiven for thinking you were at Ibiza hotspot Cafe Mambo.

"Look at this sunset, it's just like being in Ibiza," Tong told the crowd.

What makes this performance really stand out is the effortless chemistry between the classic dance hits and classical music - with violins, saxophones, drums, bongos and cellos taking centre stage.

The lyrics to One More Time Dance - "music's got me feeling so free" - couldn't have been more apt as teens to seasoned ravers transformed the Green into a huge dance floor.

And the dance DJ seemed impressed by the Festival location, telling the crowd: "You've got a pretty cool spot here.

"It's about dancing under the stars and we've done that tonight.

"I hope we've brought a bit of the Ibiza spirit to Lytham.

"I'll be taking a bit of Lytham back to Ibiza."

Becky Hill returned on stage for a rousing rendition of You've Got Love and Bring It Back To before Tong finished with Insomnia and Out of Space.

There's nothing quite like hearing a selection of old school dance classics reinterpreted and performed live by an orchestra.

What a glorious night full of Ibiza spirit.
