Wartime cavalcade comes to Viva Blackpool

Viva Blackpool marks this year's Armed Forces Week by hosting a two-hour commemoration of the war years on Tuesday - starting at 2pm.

Wartime Cavalcade is presented by Dugggie Chapman, producer of We’ll Meet Again,and features 120 minutes of song, music, comedy and impressions in an afternoon of emotional but uplifting nostalgia.

West End singer Maggie O’Hara will sing the songs of Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields and Ann Shelton, while Steve Barclay will deliver impressions of wartime comedians to transport the audience back.

Andy Eastwood, virtuoso ukulele player, will return by special request to join the Wartime Cavalcade.

Former singer with the Black and White Minstrel Show Mervyn Francis and special-guest comedian and multi- instrumentalist Pete Lindup join the line-up with the big band sound delivered by Martyn St James Band.
