Co-op win for Blackpool fuel safety experts
A Blackpool firm and Queen's Award for Export winner has won a major contract with a household name.
TISS Ltd of Lytham Road, which supplies fuel security and safety devices for haulage
customers, has been signed up by the Co-op to supply its devices for trucks.
The firm produces more than 60 pieces of equipment to prevent theft of fuel and spillages from a range of commercial vehicles in 40 countries world wide.
Now the Co-op is to use TISS’ newly revamped Tanksafe Impregnable – HF’ Fuel Security and Safety Device on its delivery vehicles.
The Co-op’s head of transport, Jon Paul Brown said, “We took the decision to fit the Impregnable –HF to further enhance our vehicles protection against fuel theft and to continue our focus on operating one of the safest, and most fuel efficient fleets in the UK.
“After using the previous version of the TankSafe Impregnable, and seeing the benefits it gave, it was clear fitment of the new upgraded HF device would deliver even better results.
TISS’ Head of Business Development, Paul Cook, said: “We have worked with the Co-op for over 10 years and have helped them optimise their fuel usage successfully using our state of the art technology.
“Rolling out the new Impregnable-HF device across the fleet will continually ensure that all fuel from the pump will be used where it should be, which is by the vehicles, on the road”.
TISS Ltd was founded in 2001 by Brian and Ryan Wholey drawing on more than 30 years of haulage experience to produce devices fitted to the fuel tanks which completely prevent any siphoning, skimming and overfilling.
In 2014 the firm won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade and now supplies more than 1,000 customers world wide.
