That exposure resulted in a social media following of over 135 thousand people, and got the attention of a celebrity clientele including footballer and Love Island participants.

Danny said: “I have Tattooed Jade Thirwall from the band Little Mix four times and they invited me on tour with them last year.”

Now Danny has come up with a rage of skin care products designed to meet the needs of people having tattoos.

He said: “During the last lockdown I started planning my own range of products which I have called Checkmate Tattoo Care.

“These range of products are for both tattoo artists and clients, they’re a variety of process balms enabling safe and quick healing process. I have a range of scents to choose from and some that are unscented. All my products are handmade here in the North West, they’re 100 per cent natural, vegan friendly and sealed in eco packaging.

“Over the years I have worked with many Tattoo companies and have been flown out to China and Los Angeles working with companies testing and developing new products.

“During the first lockdown I thought now is the time to put my effort in putting my knowledge and what I have learned over the years into products to help and support established and upcoming artists.”

He said the range includes four different balms, - The Classic One which is unscented; The Bubbly One, with a scent of pink bubble gum; the Fresh One a scent of spearmint and The Wild One with a scent of apple and wild berries.

There are also scented and non scented antibacterial soaps and washes.

Danny added that he will be supporting up and coming artists and apprentices also through a new Checkmate Pro Club.
