Return of the Big Mac sees long queues outside Blackpool McDonalds before it's even re-opened

These were the scenes shortly before the Cherry Tree Road McDonalds in Blackpool re-opened today - as hungry residents queued to get their hands on some fast food.

Five of the chain's outlets on the Fylde coast re-opened at 11am today (June 3) - but many couldn't wait for their fix of burgers and fries.

With 15 minutes to go before staff opened the drive-through hatch, the queue of vehicles at the Cherry Tree Road site, in Marton, was winding through the car park and almost back on to the road.
