No stranger to being in the spotlight, a businessman who credits property investments with making his millions is due to appear on stage to show how it's done.

Samuel Leeds may have grown up on a West Midlands council estate, experienced the separation of his parents at just seven and struggled all through school but nothing has stopped him from becoming a successful entrepreneur.

And he believes that nothing should stop other people either, insisting that anyone can make profits from property and achieve financial freedom if they follow his approach.

Popular YouTube channel

With a YouTube channel that attracts tens of thousands of subscribers, Samuel posts regular videos to share his money-spinning methods. He hopes they'll inspire people to try them and make a positive difference to their lives.

Of course he doesn't suggest that watching a few videos is the route to business success or financial security. Instead he runs a Property Investors Training Academy which offers a selection of programmes to help people make the leap from wherever they are now to being their own boss in the future.

With a strong belief that UK schools should prepare young people for business and not just for exams, Samuel is keen to see financial education on the curriculum. He's already achieved that aim in schools that he's rebuilt in Uganda as part of charitable work and wants to see the same thing happen here.

Students from varied backgrounds

In the meantime, he and his team work closely with trainees of all ages and backgrounds to help them succeed in the property world, whether thay want to boost their income or completely change careers.

Although anyone in business - training providers included - is likely to claim that their offer is something particularly special, Samuel has testimonies from numerous students who seem to agree.

In fact according to one, a high-flying career woman travelled all the way from her home and workplace in Dubai to attend a string of courses.

She then sold the idea of starting a property business to her husband and they both signed up to train for a year and later quit their jobs and returned to Britain to do it.

New ventures

Other success stories include an ex-serviceman who gave up his chance of a generous military pension to launch his own property venture and a father and son who joined forces to make profits through refurbishments.

But people can find out for themselves whether or not property investments might be a business opportunity for them when Samuel hosts one of his crash courses in Manchester.

It will focus on a strategy known as rent-to-rent which involves renting accommodation from a landlord, not to live in but to let to others at a higher rate. It usually means having multiple tenants to increase profits and generate a regular, passive income.

Property owning is optional

The tried and tested approach is just one of several that Samuel uses himself and he says people don't even need to own property when they start.

Other elements included on the rent-to-rent course will be HMOs (houses in multiple occupation) and the laws that affect them. It will also teach people about targeting the best investment areas and accommodation and how to do business with landlords and agents.

Potential investors with or without experience can sign up to attend the all-day event and expect to meet some like-minded people.

Pay £1 to attend

The course takes place on Friday, November 24 at Old Trafford Stadium, Stretford, M16 0RA and tickets can be booked online. They cost just £1 each (although late cancellation/no show fees apply).
