Lancashire's best business awards will highlight tourism

Jamie Griffiths, Brand Programme Director of Smooth Radio North West, said: “The county’s stunning countryside, coastline and venues have attracted huge numbers of visitors in recent weeks as temperatures have soared.

“The diversity of leisure businesses, from cafes and restaurants through to zoos and historic attractions, would be enough to bring visitors back to the county.”

Smooth Radio North West is sponsor of the Leisure and Tourism Business of the Year award at the Be Inspired Business Awards.

Jamie said: “Whether it is a short break or just a day out, Lancashire has become an attraction for visitors across the UK thanks to our great transport links, the amazing countryside and cities we have here and, of course, the range of things to see and do.

As Lancashire’s number one commercial radio station we know that the recent spell of warm weather has got people across the North West exploring what we have to offer.”

The awards will be handed out in September at Blackpool Tower.
