As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many small businesses have been facing huge challenges to continue to survive.

To help them, Business in the Community is running a series of free small business support programmes in three locations across the UK, with the Fylde Coast chosen as the only site in England.

The other programmes are in Aberdeen and Newport.

BITC was created nearly 40 years ago by HRH the Prince of Wales to champion responsible business.

The organisation now has a vibrant membership of hundreds of businesses, large and small, connected by the conviction their success is inextricably linked to society’s prosperity.

BITC’s member Build Back Responsibly insights show a strong desire from larger businesses to make their supply chains more local and their small business ecosystem more resilient.

As a result of the recent programme, the Fylde Coast team have identified that HR and Legal support is a key focus for SMEs to help in their recovery post-Covid-19. In view of this, the team is hosting a free webinar on HR and Legal support in partnership with Napthens Solicitors on Wednesday March 24, from 10 to 11.15am.

The session will focus on practical tips, guidance and discussion on how to implement a redundancy procedure, manage your workforce in the current climate and maintain the health and wellness of your workforce.

Guest speakers are Roxanne Buckley, Associate Solicitor and Emma Christian, People Consultant, at Napthens.

Attendees are invited to ask their own questions; these can be supplied beforehand to present to speakers ahead of the webinar and can be asked anonymously if people prefer.
