Anyone who attended the Market Square-based bistro on Tuesday September 1 or Thursday September 3 may have come into close contact with a person with the virus, a council spokesman warned.

The business has been temporarily shut down.

A Zest spokesman said: "We wish to notify all our loyal customers that we have sadly taken the precautionary measure of closing our establishment for a few days to carry out a deep clean following one of our part time staff having tested positive for Covid-19.

"The remainder of our staff are undergoing test and thankfully all results have returned negative. It is important that we put the health and safety of our staff and customers first and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon."

Anyone with coronavirus symptoms, including a high temperature, a new continuous cough and a loss of taste or smell, must self-isolate for 14 days and get tested.
