No Covid deaths at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in past week with NO patients in intensive care

For a third week running, there were two patients in hospital on the Fylde coast within 14 days of a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.

Dr Jim Gardner, medical director at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and the Clifton Hospital in St Annes, said no coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in the past week, while six people remain in hospital “because of Covid but they are more than 14 days since their first positive swab”.

As of yesterday, when Dr Gardner gave his weekly briefing, there were three at the Vic and three at Clifton – with none in the intensive care unit.
