The Prime Minister announced last week that a third national lockdown would be necessary to bring the spread of the virus under control, with the new rules coming into full effect on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
However, according to reports the Prime Minister spoke with senior ministers on Sunday to evaluate “whether the current lockdown rules were working” in reducing the spike of coronavirus cases.
The latest figures from Public Health England, show the case rate for neighbourhoods in Blackpool for the seven days to January 5, 2021.
Below are all the areas of Blackpool with a rolling rate of more than 300 per 100,000 population listed from lowest to highest.
The Blackpool areas with a rolling rate lower than 300 include; North Shore, Squires Gate, Churchtown, Norbreck & Bispham, South Promenade & Seasiders Way, Victoria, Hawes Sid, Little Layton & Little Carleton and North East Centre.
