New delivery for volunteer bikers who transport urgent NHS medical supplies

Volunteer bikers, who provide urgent, out of hours transport facilities for the NHS, received a brand new bike to add to their fleet thanks to a Blackpool business.

Members of North West Blood Bikes were presented with a 70 plate Honda Africa Twin motorcycle by Simon Carter, and the team at North West Honda Super Centre.

Scott Etheridge, one of the volunteer riders, said: “The gesture that Simon and his team have done is brilliant.

“Their continuing support for our charity is something that we are extremely thankful for.”

“We transport blood, blood products such as plasma and platelets, baby milk, urgent blood samples and anything else that is urgent, and will fit on the bikes.
