“Swot up on Scandinavian and Russian customs, such as decorating hard-boiled eggs, which make a lovely centrepiece displayed on cake stands or in glass bowls.”

In Sweden, she says, vases are filled with twigs of willow or birch and hung with feathers and other small decorations.

“Enhance the fresh, spring-like feel by arranging colourful daffodils and tulips in jam jars,” Harris adds.

“Pastel shades aren’t the only traditional choice for Easter, but they’re very on-trend for this season, so look out for paper napkins and tablecloths in sorbet colours.”
