Lucky dancers at Blackpool Tower Ballroom were given the ‘time of their life’ as they were treated to a special dancing masterclass by the stars of ‘Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage’.
Carlie Milner and Karl James Wilson, who play Penny and Johnny in the production, showed off their spectacular Mambo to the ballroom before inviting dancers up to learn a few Dirty Dancing steps and offering free tickets to those who impressed most.
Brenda and Peter Vaughan, from Ripon in North Yorkshire, visit Blackpool twice a month to dance in the Ballroom and were delighted to win tickets.
Brenda said: “I have never seen the show so I’m delighted.
“It gives you so much pleasure to watch talented dancers so it will be great to go and see Dirty Dancing.
“We always appreciate dance and performance so we are really excited to have won.”
It’s a fantastic show and I will certainly look forward to seeing it again
Meanwhile, young dancers Georgia Hill and Henry Beale, from Burnley, also snapped up a pair of tickets after wowing everyone with their moves.
Georgia, 10, and Henry, 11, will be going to see Dirty Dancing with their mums who are huge fans of the movie and musical production.
Georgia’s mum Joanne added: “We come here regularly so the children can dance so this is a real surprise to win the tickets to Dirty Dancing.
“It’s a fantastic show and I will certainly look forward to seeing it again.”
