Hide AdTown hall planners approved the application, which was submitted jointly by M.C.I. Developments Limited, Muir Housing Group Limited and Zell-em Group Limited, using delegated powers.
They said the scheme would meet “the pressing need for good quality affordable housing in the borough.”
The houses will all be built for Muir Housing Group and let to residents for an affordable rent.
The industrial buildings which previously occupied the site were used by the Zell-em group which has relocated to new premises on Snowdon Road in St Annes.
