Youngsters are being given the chance to put their artistic skills to the test in a new competition.

Children aged four to six are asked to produce a painting, drawing, sculpture, or photograph based on the theme of ‘peace’.

The best entries will be put on display at a special week-long art exhibition at Blackpool Sixth Form College starting March 21. Successful artists will be invited to a ceremony at the event.

The winner will be awarded £30 in vouchers and two runner-ups will be awarded £15 in vouchers.

People can submit competition entries (original copies only) to Jon McLeod, head of administration, at Blackpool Sixth Form College on Blackpool Old Road by 4pm on February 26 at the latest.

Artwork must be labelled with the child’s full name, their school, and the name of their class teacher.
