Aviary needed for feathered friends

Pete and Primrose are a pair of budgies who need to be rehomed together.

Their previous owner could no longer care for them but they need to stay together as they have bonded.

Although they have been caged in their previous home, the RSPCA would prefer to rehome them in an aviary set up so they have room to fly.

They are suitable for first time owners and children. The cost is £25 to adopt both.

On Monday March 7, the RSPCA is holding a free dog microchipping event at the Lakes Community Office in Langdale Road. It takes place from 10am to 4pm.

The charity, supported by Blackpool Council and Friends of Marton Mere is also planning a fun sponsored dog walk on Sunday March 20 at Marton Mere visitor centre.

Entrance is just £5, there will be refreshments available and a prize for the dog and owner with the most sponsors.
