Baby deer on road
A cyclist herded two young deer to safety after finding them near a busy road early today.
The man said he came across the deer near Queensway, opposite Division Lane, between Blackpool and St Annes, just before 8am.
He said: "They look like two bambis, they are only young.
"I rang the RSPCA and the police but couldn't get any help, so I just herded them into a nearby field behind South Shore Cricket Club.
"I was worried they would escape onto the road and cause an accident.
"I don't know how they got there, perhaps they have escaped from someone's menagerie."
