The owners of a Blackpool fish and chip shop served up more than cod and mushy peas at their annual charity social.
Cameron’s Fish and Chips on Highfield Road played host to a charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday.
The event is the fifth of its kind held at the chip shop, and raised £550 in the name of John Cameron McGill, who died in November last year at the age of 66.
A spokesman for the shop said: “We would like to thank our neighbouring businesses, customers and friends for all of their kind donations of prizes and cakes, totalling over 100.
“Also a special thanks to Carol, our banjo player, who has entertained us for the past five years.”
Money raised on the day will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides help for people living with the disease.
People can sign up to host their own Macmillan coffee morning online at www. coffee.macmillan.org.uk.
