The sight of litter washing up on the beach is sadly still all to common – but one man helping to keep our seafront tidy was rather surprised to stumble across this blow up doll.

Bruce Goodridge took this picture while taking part in a beach clean at St Annes North, saying it was ‘something a bit different’.

Posting on Twitter, Fylde LOVEmyBEACH agreed, saying it was ‘definitely one of the strangest things ever found on a beach clean’. Volunteers meet every Thursday at 10am in the beach car park for the cleans.

Businesses who want to help keep our beaches clean can also help by joining the war on plastic and signing up to the ReFILL scheme by offering to top up water bottles free of charge.
