Businesses from across Lancashire gathered at a Preston nightclub, for “Business at Baluga.”
The event, organised by the city’s Business Improvement District, went ‘on tour’ as its usual business to business event, “The Hangout”, is being rested while a £1.2m sympathetic restoration programme in the gardens of Winckley Square is undertaken.

Over 160 guests attended Baluga from across Lancashire and the Fylde.
They were all eager to make new contacts, catch up with colleagues and see what the area has to offer.
Mark Whittle from Preston BID said: “Our networking events work, they are informal and professional, but without the pressure of buying, selling or bringing leads.
“We bring people together in informal surroundings to meet each other in a relaxed environment, which works far better. Our events are all about building relationships – it’s a proven formula.”
Guests were treated to champagne on arrival and had the opportunity to indulge in street-influenced food courtesy of the Kitchen at Baluga, the club’s recently opened restaurant, which is proving popular.
General manager of Baluga and the Kitchen at Baluga, Tom Havlin, said: “We were delighted that BID chose to hold their networking events at Baluga; their events have a great reputation. We’ve had lots of positive feedback on the venue, food and hospitality from tonight’s guests.
He continued: ‘To see the venue and our outdoor terrace full with businesses guests was a fantastic. We are looking forward to welcoming many of them back to Baluga soon.”
BID’s next business to business event will take place in July.
