Car ploughs into garden outside school

A car ended up in a garden at an accident blackspot next to a Fylde coast school.

The accident happened at the junction of Worseley Road and Albany Road in Ansdell, thankfully just minutes before Lytham St Annes High School – the largest in Lancashire – closed for the day.

Paramedics were at the scene treating an elderly lady driver and an eyewitness told The Gazette they believed no other cars were involved.

The lady was treated at the scene by Paramedics. Her condition is not known.

There have been several accidents at the crossroads and along Albany Road in the past few years, leading to the relocation of bus stops last year.
