The search is on for budding young performers to appear on stage in Lytham’s next professional pantomime.
Polka Dot Pantomimes are following up last year’s staging of Aladdin last Christmas by presenting Cinderella at Lowther Pavilion this Christmas – and are giving youngsters aged from nine to 18 the opportunity to showcase their talent.
They want boys and girls who can sing and dance to audition for places in the children’s chorus teams alongside a professional West End cast.
Auditions will take place this Sunday at Lowther Pavilion and those chosen will be appearing in the show – complete with dazzling costumes, spectacular scenery, amazing special effects and even real ponies – which runs from December 10 to 30.
There will be three separate casts of children’s chorus alternating between shows performing in front of thousands of people during the run.
Lowther manager Roger McCann said: “Aladdin was a massive hit but I am sure this year’s offering will again pull in all the panto fans for another great show.
“We are absolutely delighted to have signed up Polka Dot once more as they proved themselves to audiences last year and they know they will be in a for a great time.”
Sunday auditions are between 1pm and 4pm, those taking part must be no younger than nine by September 1, 2015 and parents need to fill in a form which must be brought along on the day.
Audition forms are available from the Lowther Pavilion office or can be downloaded from the theatre’s website www.lowtherpavilion.co. uk.
