The event, which was organised by the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE), took place at Hothersall Lodge Outdoor Centre near Longridge last week.

More than 50 youngsters, including some from St Mark’s Layton, St Chad’s Poulton, St Cuthbert’s Lytham, St Hilda’s Carleton and St Anne’s Singleton, met Bishop of Lancaster, Geoff Pearson, to explore the theme of ‘pathways’ towards religion.

Emily Rowley, from Christ Church with All Saints in Blackpool, was camp photographer.

Rev Pearson said: “The camp is a great asset in our work with young people as a diocese, sustaining them in their discipleship. This year they found the story of Pilgrim’s Progress inspiring.

“There was a great team from the Diocesan Board of Education leading the event.”

Kat Witham, Diocesan youth officer, said: “The camp was a brilliant way for the youngsters to come together, worship and find out more about being a disciple of Jesus and grow in their faith.”
