A Blackpool couple made an unusual addition to their wedding photography requests, when they found out a star turn was on at their big day venue.
Lisa and Andy Colbeck were celebrating their wedding reception at Blackpool’s Viva cabaret venue, when they heard near-the-knuckle comedian Roy Chubby Brown was booked to play the same night.
He was delighted to invite Lisa and Andi backstage and added something special to the happy couple’s day
He was appearing in the Cabaret Theatre, while they hosted their guests in Viva’s Festival Suite.
The couple took the opportunity for a quirky snapshot, and asked the Viva team if they could arrange it for them.
The popular entertainer obliged, providing the couple with a unique shot for the wedding album.
Managing director Martin Heywood said: “We do everything we can to tailor a wedding to the bride and groom’s wishes, so quickly had a word with Roy Chubby Brown when we were asked to do so.
“He was delighted to invite Lisa and Andi backstage and added something special to the happy couple’s day.
“Brides and grooms who marry here are just as likely to bump into other star names, with entertainers who have appeared at Viva in recent weeks being Rebecca Ferguson, Cannon and Ball, Billy Pearce and Joe Longthorne.
“There’s always some sort of celebrity sparkle that we can add to weddings, to enable the day to have memorable moments and a few different twists.”
