A man breached his bail one day after being granted it by a court.

Ryan Gorman had been banned from contact with a girlfriend and her grandmother, but he went to the gran’s home and asked for money to get to court.

Gorman, 24, of Preston Street, Kirkham, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a bail condition. Blackpool magistrates agreed to rebail him.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said on Saturday Gorman was bailed at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on the condition he did not contact the girlfriend or her grandmother.

On Sunday at 7.30pm Gorman turned up at the grandmother’s,

Malcolm Cartwright, defending, said Gorman had previous lived at the grandmother’s home with his partner. Gorman’s benefits claim had not yet been assessed, so he had no money.
