Blackpool motorbike and moped owners warned following South Shore thefts

Motorbike and moped owners in Blackpool are being reminded to make sure their vehicles are “locked and secure” as police appeal for information over two moped thefts in South Shore.

The mopeds were reported stolen on Tuesday and the thefts happened on Midgeland Road and Nesswood Avenue.

A silver Yamaha XC 125 E VITY with the registration number VO60TBV and a black Wangye with the registration number PO20FPC were stolen.

PCSO Debby Savage of West Blackpool Police said that one of the thefts occured in the early hours of Tuesday and the other was during late evening.

PCSO Savage added: “If anyone has any information or CCTV of the bikes please contact the police on 101 and quote the log number LC-20200928-1520.

“Could we replease make people extra vigilant at this time and ensure that all vehicles are kept locked and secure.”
