Two rooms filled with cannabis plants were unearthed after police arrived at around 10.45pm. A joint investigation is now underway to find the cause of the fire.

Officers then discovered a second cannabis farm after executing a warrant at an address in Central Blackpool.

An Albanian man was found and arrested during the raid, police have confirmed.

"When we talk about the dangers and risk around Cannabis factories the two the task force have dealt with today are prime examples," a spokesman for Lancashire Police said:

"These cannabis factories are linked to organised criminals who use the profits to fund weapons, human trafficking and even terrorism.

"These gangs have no concern for local residents or the people inside the property."

Officers say investigations are continuing at both scenes.
