Car theft suspect evades police for eight weeks
An appeal has been made to trace a wanted man from St Annes who has evaded police for eight weeks.
Charlie Simpson, 36, was due to answer bail on Monday 15 August in relation to an alleged car theft, drink driving and driving without a valid licence and insurance but he didn’t attend.
His last known address was on Eastbank Road.
PC Chris Hill from Blackpool Police said: “Since Simpson failed to answer bail I believe he has been actively trying to avoid us and is only making matters worse for himself.
“If you have seen him or know where he is, please get in touch with us.
“Similarly, I would urge Simpson himself to hand himself in at a local police station because it is only a matter of time before we find him.”
Simpson is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with receding hair and often wears a cap. He also walks with a limp.
