The offences are alleged to have taken place in the Curzon Road and Church Road areas of St Annes on February 1.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court and opposed bail for Brittain.

Defence lawyer, Patrick Nelligan, said Brittain would not indicate pleas to the offences at this stage.

Brittain was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on February 27.
