Four men arrested and one injured in St Annes knife fight

Four men have been arrested after a man suffered a stab wound in a knife fight in St Annes.

Police rushed to All Saints Road at around 1.40pm yesterday (June 3) following reports of an armed stand-off between two groups of men with knives.

As officers arrived at the scene, four of the men fled into a nearby home. Officers raided the home and all four men were arrested.

Police found that one of the men had suffered a minor stab wound and he was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.

He did not require hospital treatment and he was taken into custody with the three other suspects.

An investigation is ongoing, but Lancashire Police said the men are known to each other and there is not thought to be any wider threat to the public.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 1.40pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 2) to reports a small group of men had been seen with knives on All Saints Road in Lytham St Annes.

"We attended and found four men had been involved in an altercation on the street, before making off into a nearby address.

"Four men were arrested inside the address.

"One of those arrested was treated for injuries at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

"Our enquiries are very much ongoing but at this time we believe the men are known to each other and that there is no wider threat to the public."
