Man charged with robbing grave statue
A man accused of robbing from a grave in Lytham has made his first appearance at court.
Kenneth Bamber, 42, of Balfour Road, Fulwood, is charged with stealing the statue of a Japanese woman which a woman placed on the grave of her husband at St John’s Parish Church.
He is also accused of going equipped for theft with spades, a meat cleaver, crowbars, a torch, angle grinder and bolt cutter, outside a graveyard in Saltcotes Road, Lytham on November 8.
He pleaded not guilty to both and was bailed for trial.
