Man faces stun gun charge

A man accused of illegally possessing a stun-gun in Blackpool town centre has made his first appearance at court.

Imran Khan, 30, of St Andrews Road South, St Annes, is alleged to have had the electric gun in Queen Street on May 30.

Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, asked for the case to be heard at crown court. Defence lawyer, Steven Townley, said his client had indicated he would plead not guilty to the offence.

Khan was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 25 by Blackpool magistrates.
