Man wanted in connection with Blackpool rape investigation

Paddy Coyle, also know as Desmond Kirwan, is wanted by police in connection with a theft offence and a rape investigation in Blackpool.

Officers say Coyle, formerly of Maudland Road, uses different dates of birth under his aliases and is aged between 25 and 30.

DC Mark Ryan, of Lancashire Police, said: "If you know this man and know where he may be, or if you have seen him in the last two weeks then please get in touch with police.

"Or if you have any information which could help our enquiries, please also contact us as soon as possible."

Coyle - who speaks with an Irish accent - has been described as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and hazel eyes.

As well as the Blackpool area he also has links to West Yorkshire and the Republic of Ireland.
