A drunken man wanted a police officer to fight telling him “here we go, let’s go for it,” a court was told.
Wayne Dixon, 45, of Crystal Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £40 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £30 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
I’m sorry for my behaviour. I have not touched a drop since
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said a police officer was called to the resort’s Bond Street on April 9 at 5.30pm. Dixon was slumped on the pavement near a cafe with his jeans around his ankles.
He swore at the officer while a mum and child were passing. Dixon told magistrates: “I’m sorry for my behaviour. I have not touched a drop since.”
