Detectives in Blackpool are investigating a series of indecent exposure offences which they believe may be linked.

The incidents happened between August 14 and August 19 in the Waterloo Road area of South Shore and St David’s Road and St Patrick’s Road in St Annes.

On each occasion a lone man has exposed himself in public and each incident has been witnessed by local children.

Det Sgt Mark Dickinson said: “Although we are keeping an open mind we believe the same offender may be responsible for all three incidents.

“We are treating the matter seriously and are keen to identify any witnesses or speak to people who may have information.

“The man we are looking to identify is described as being white and with access to a vehicle.”

A 61-year-old man, from St Annes, has been arrested on suspicion of exposure and remains on police bail pending further inquires.

Anyone with information can contact Blackpool Police by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
