Thornton man accused of abuse has trial delayed for a year

Proceedings against a man facing allegations of sex offences against a teenage girl have been delayed for almost a year due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Jemiah Rose, 55, of Brisbane Place, Blackpool, is charged with carrying out the offences in the 2000s.

He had had his case sent for trial at Preston Crown Court but it couldn't go ahead.

He will now face a trial for four counts of indecent assault and four of indecency with a child on May 17, 2021.
