Two people rushed to hospital after house fire in Fleetwood

An investigation is underway following a fire on the ground floor of a property in Fleetwood.

Two fire engines from Fleetwood rushed to reports of a blaze at a house in Wyre Street at around 7.55pm last night (Tuesday, November 10).

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the flames - which was located on the ground floor of the property.

Two people were treated by ambulance crews at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has now confirmed the cause of the is under investigation.
