Dancers stepped out on to the floor to help boost funds being raised to improve Lytham’s theatre.
Tea dances staged by the Friends of Lowther Pavilion, whose efforts help foot the bill for ongoing improvements at the venue, resumed their monthly schedule this week after a break for the festive season.
Chris Hopkins, organist at Blackpool Tower, provides the musical backing for a wide variety of dances and new participants are welcome.
Janet Radcliffe, Friends chairman, said: “Chris provides wonderful music and the dances always go down well. More people are always welcome to join us.”
Lowther manager Roger McCann added: “A tea dance was being staged on my very first day here and I was really impressed. It is good to see them back for the new year.”
The tea dances, which run from 2 to 5pm, are held monthly up to and including May, with the next dates coming up February 9, March 9, April 13 and May 18.
