THE Express this week launches its most heart-rending appeal yet – and is calling on Fylde residents to Give Charlie a Chance.
The appeal will strike a chord with every parent, as desperate mum Sharon Woolley bids to raise £30,000 to send her five-year-old son Charlie for vital cancer treatment in Germany.
And if every member of the borough – more than 75,800 of us – texted just a £1 donation, it would give the brave five-year-old from Lytham the best fighting chance to get over his neuroblastoma cancer.
Hall PArk pupil Charlie Gibson Woolley is recovering after an operation to remove the majority of rare and aggressive cancerous tumour which affects children, and he now faces months and months of treatment in a bid to prevent the tumour returning.
The survival rate in the UK is just 30 per cent, but special holistic therapy in Germany could significantly increase his chances.
To text a donation, simply send CHAR75 in the text followed by an amount, such as £2 to 70070.
