Police are currently attending an incident at the Cuadrilla fracking site after a Frack Free protester climbed onto a lorry.
The lorry was brought to a stop and is now blocking a lane of Preston New Road.
On a video, that was broadcast live from Facebook this morning, the protester can be seen waving his placard from the top of the lorry while police flank the lorry.
Police were alerted to the incident at the height of rush-hour at around 7.30am this morning.
A spokesman for Lancashire police said: " The incident is still on-going and we are trying to get the man to come down. This is causing significant traffic issues. One lane has been blocked, and although traffic is moving, it is not moving freely. Traffic is backing up in the area."
A contraflow system has been put in place by the police to ease traffic.
