Farewell to '˜amazing lad' Jordan
You’ll Never Walk Alone rang out as crowds paid their respects to the “incredibly funny” young man who died from cystic fibrosis, a condition he had battled most of his life.
“I’ve never seen anything like it, it was just absolutely incredible”, said Jordan’s dad, Ian.

Hide AdThe funeral was held at Carleton Crematorium on Saturday, and more than 400 people are thought to have attended.
Mr Whitehouse, 42, said: “It was just an emotional, incredible day and we were just so overwhelmed to see so many people there for Jordan.
“I don’t know what he would have made of it because he didn’t really like publicity that much.
“We had a good send-off afterwards at Blackpool Rangers club house, where he used to play.”

Hide AdSongs played during the funeral included I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith, You Make it Real by James Morrison and Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
Mr Whitehouse, of Highcroft Avenue, Bispham, said: “He went out to You’ll Never Walk Alone which was his favourite song because he was a massive Liverpool fan.”
Jordan had a red coffin with “YNWA” on the side of it, and flowers in the shape of footballs on the top.
Mr Whitehouse said: “We can’t say enough about everybody, the support we’ve had from all his friends.

Hide Ad“I used to run the football team and the support from our friends and family and all his friends has been incredible every day since he passed away.”
Jordan died on Thursday, March 10, at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.
Mr Whitehouse described Jordan, who went to Carleton St Hilda’s Primary School and later, Montgomery High School, as “stubborn” and “a wind-up merchant”.
He said: “He was an incredibly funny and lovely person. I’ve had so many messages from people telling me about his sense of humour.

Hide Ad“People were saying he never had a bad word to say about anybody. He was just a lovely, caring young man, and will be missed by so many.
“I’m so proud of him and so proud of all his friends and my family and friends, it’s just been emotional.
“Everybody was saying Jordan was an amazing lad.”
