Firefighters battle chimney fire at residential property in Blackpool

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a chimney fire in Blackpool this morning (February 3).

Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool were sent to the scene in Wilford Street, Layton, at around 11.10am.

The fire reportedly involved a chimney at a domestic two-story home.

Crews used one water jet to extinguish the flames and no rescues or injuries were reported, the fire service said.
